Best Day

I have many songs… that remind me of a time in my life. But the most recent and what this post is about is: American Authors’ Best Day of My Life.

This has a bit of a twist to it. Granted I would personally list lifetime milestones as Best Days of My Life, such has my children being born, the kids graduating, our wedding day… so what I am about to share is not the actual best days of my life, but they are significant - “I could use a sign days”.

I left a full-time position to return to running my business full-time. The day I gave notice, I left work nervous, I started my car, and this song began playing, granted it was from my playlist. However, it was not chosen for the moment. I simply turned on my car - and the song started (from the beginning): Best Day of My Life by American Authors.

Two weeks later, on my last day at said job, I got into my car, and once the phone paired with my car, the song played again.

Huh? what a coincidence!

I returned to running my website business full-time. I started sharing my journey on social media and within 2 weeks of leaving work, I started Q.

I realized in June, that everything I had been planning and setting as goals, actually happened! (The term - Manifestation comes to mind!)

While reviewing the analytics for Q.’s rapid growth, I discovered the top 3 areas of the nation for Q. were: Los Angeles, Boise & Atlanta.

Since I live in Atlanta, and have monthly events anyway, I decided it was time to plan a trip to see Q.s in Los Angeles & Boise with an event in each location.

Between June and September I was excited! I was ready to make these events happen and I was sure it would be a great trip.

However, as the departure date grew near, I grew nervous and anxious. Why am I doing this? Should I cancel?

This and more crossed my mind.

I did attempt to cancel; I called the airline, but thankfully, canceling would result in an extra expense I didn’t need.

I pushed myself to go on the trip, focusing on the fact that I would get to see my son...I would see one set of parents...I would get to see one of my best friends in Idaho...& I would get to meet with one Q. in Los Angeles (aside from my step-mom)...Which would be a success.

You see when I started this journey, I made my goal for each event, “one person”. If one person shows up to each event - the purpose of Q. made a difference for someone.

My flight to LA was scheduled to board at 6:45am; this meant that I would need to leave the house by 4:00am. Bags packed, in the car, my phone pairs with the car…the song that starts playing? Best Day of My Life.

Now if that isn’t a sign that I am on the right journey. I don’t know what is.

P.S. We also had one Q. in Boise aside from my best friend.

And ironically the hotel in Los Angeles, was running a charity for Bees the same time!

LYRICS

Best Day of My Life

I had a dream so big and loud

I jumped so high I touched the clouds

Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh

I stretched my hands out to the sky

We danced with monsters through the night

Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh

I'm never gonna look back

Woah, never gonna give it up

No, please don't wake me now

This is gonna be the best day of my life

My li-i-i-i-i-ife

This is gonna be the best day of my life

My li-i-i-i-i-ife

I howled at the moon with friends

And then the sun came crashing in

Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh

But all the possibilities

No limits just epiphanies

Wo-o-o-o-o-oh, wo-o-o-o-o-oh
